Endowment and Funding

That's the way I feel. Georgetown is a great school, but if I can't afford it as an undergrad, I can always try going for law/business school. I do think it would be a great place to spend at least some part of my life experiencing.

Georgetown is pretty awful about financial aid..but that is not to say it is fair to compare it to Princeton or Brown, who have INCREDIBLE and progressive aid!

Georgetown should aspire to Princeton's awesome system, but if the money's not coming in, it won't go out, either.

Due to low endowment, tuition rises and if there's ever damage to anything, they will be sure to fine every person that could possibly be involved, as compared to say my bro's school (Williams) which has like 3 times Gtown's endowment and the kids don't really have to account for fees other than the bill they get every semester. Oh yeah, Williams also just got more $, so now everyone gets an increase in Fin. Aid. My parents are wondering, "Why oh why can't Georgetown have money?" as they compare the bills. Oh well.

Yeah... it's kinda weird that a place like U of Rochester has a bigger endowment than Gtown.

that's very surprising...and a little scary. I'm anxiously awaiting my finaid package next month, and I have no clue what to expect.

If it isn't pretty, it'll probably be maize and blue for me.
