I am very curious about Tech's Energy Commerce program. I have tried to find out more information about it, but there is not much on the internet. So, has anyone had experience with the program? Does anyone know how difficult it is to be selected for the program? Thanks for your responses.

I actually just transferred out of the business school to engineering, but I do know the basic requirements for the program are:

You must finish the lower division business program which consists of: ACCT 2300 & 2301, ECO 2301 & 2302, ISQS 2340, MATH 1330, 1331, & 2345; ENGL 1301 & 1302, and BA 1101. (All must be grade C and higher on first attempt).

Must take the first two energy commerce courses: ENCO 3301 & 3385. Also must take GEOL 1303/1301 for lab science required by the university.

Must have a combine GPA of 3.4

As effective in 2014, all applicants must undergo an interview with several energy professionals, complete a writing sample, and submit a resume along with their general application to the program.

I believe that’s pretty much it. Once you complete all of that, it just depends on the space available. I’m not sure, but there might be a specific number they accept each semester.

I hope I helped though. Here is the link for the curriculum: [Texas Tech University :: Rawls College of Business :: Energy Commerce :: Curriculum](http://ec.ba.ttu.edu/curriculum/)

Good Luck!
