Energy drink on day of

Has anyone ever brought something like a can of Monsterenergy drink, during the break to help them stay on their toes on tests? Does this work? Or does it actually cause you to focus less.

i brought red bull, and i had already had a cup of coffee that morning. i think it helped...

It really depends on how much caffeine you usually drink. If a person who doesn't usually drink any caffeine at all downs a Monster/Rockstar/Amp whatever they may get the jitters during the test and basically screw it up. For some people, it really helps with concentration though, even if only by placebo effect. I think the best way to concentrate on the test is to follow your normal routine, and add in maybe a little extra dose of caffeine :)

agreed with amb3r. i forgot to mention that i MUST drink coffee every single morning. lol.

wow, it's just now that I realize how awkwardly written the orginal post was.

Well for me, when I near the 3 hour mark, I get antsy, excited etc and find myself not paying 100% attention to the passage I'm reading.

GlueEater, join the club :)

It really depends. Even if you don't drink that much caffeine it could help, but you are the one who really knows.
For example, I don't drink coffee much, but when I DO drink it, it helps me concentrate and stay wide awake for hours without giving me jitters.. so it all depends really..

It was my 3rd time drinking red bull on the test day. I don't think it affected me at all on that day, but my CR improved unexpectedly lol

coffee, plenty of it :). Never drank Red Bull before, got to try it

go spike shooter
