Eng Comp 3 for 1st or 2nd quarter?

Do the Eng Comp 3 classes fill up very fast during the winter quarter?

I'll be attending the first orientation, so shall I just take that opportunity to sign up for an Eng Comp 3 class for the first (fall) quarter?

ah..the particular professors that I want for fall Eng Comp 3 are all already taken according to the myucla class planner. And I really want to take that English class taught by one of them. ..or am I being too greedy as a UCLA student? :( gah

Professors don't teach lower-division English courses - it's graduate students.

Are you an English major? If so, I would take English Comp 3 fall quarter because it's a prerequisite for English 4W which is requisite for 10A... 10B... 10C.

What's your major? What other classes do you plan on taking? The importance of your completing English Comp 3 is somewhat dependent on whether or not it's important for you to get rid of it ASAP.

eng comp is hard to sign up because a lot of the sections will be closed off although there are 55 lectures of it... it matters a lot which professor you get tho, some TAs also teach it, the TA i got didn't teach very good and the class didn't help me much... also who you take with is important because your grade is based off 3 essays and a hard grading teacher is the last thing you want since there is no right answer :(

Some Eng Comp3 classes are taught by professors. I had it with Creese, who teaches other courses as well.

Yeah I had it with Creese Fall of 06, class was pretty enjoyable - something i'm not normally exposed to.

ASAP because you will have a hard time getting into that class. Unless you have some magical registration time.
