ENGAGE program

Does anyone have ANY idea how hard it really is to get into the ENGAGE Medical program? And when you are notified? I applied RD to Vandy and to the ENGAGE program - it says somewhere that only 10 are accepted?!

Thanks to anyone who shares any insight.

i applied to the engage law program and RD to vandy too...i thought i saw something about march interviews for those who are finalists? I'm going to visit next week though, so i'm definitely going to ask then.

I haven't visited yet either (am from Mass. ) I'll visit after I know whether I get in and get any type of merit aid.
But please let us know what you find out!

the program is new so not many people know about it, but since this is vanderbilt, i bet it is more difficult to gain acceptance than other similar programs

I can confirm that the materials said only 10 total.

has anyone heard anything more on when notifications for interviews come out? All I see is that there's an Honors weekend sometime in March - no idea as to how many are invited for interviews?.....

I applied ED I (and got in :-) and to the ENGAGE law program. I still haven't heard anything about that, though. I believe the interviews take place on March 20-21, but have no idea when notifications are sent.

Any info someone might have would be very helpful!

Thanks!

I had to call admissions for some reason a few weeks ago, and asked the person if he had any idea when ENGAGE interview notifications were coming out and he said they were still trying to figure it out.... if anyone hears, please let us know.

I got a call yesterday from Linn Fulton-John, the director, saying that I was one of the eight semifinalists out of the 360 applicants for the School of Medicine. My interview is going to be on March 15, but I was given the choice of March 14 as well. I think that week is something of an "Honors Week" or whatever they call it. My friend who applied for the same thing has received nothing as of yet. If you have urgent questions, I think there's an ENGAGE couselor in the admissions office. As far as numbers go, they said "about ten." So I would say probably two or so for law/med/biz each, and then one for things like Peabody and Divinity. They will probably accept more than ten, because not everyone will go.

congrats and good luck!

Congrats Naur! I received a call from Ms. Fulton-John Sunday during which I was informed I am one of three finalists for the law school. My interview is on March 30 :-)

good luck hayleyrenee
