If I go to Virginia Tech, how does the engineering selection work? I’ve heard that selection to each major is limited and competitive. I want to major in aerospace engineering, but what happens if I get denied from the program? Does it work like that? Please help!!! Thank you.

Essentially if you are in GE and get a 3.0, you get whatever major in engineering you want. If not, then you are rank ordered into your top choices, as long as there is room. Essentially you are just competing against yourself, get the 3.0 and it’s no big deal.
