My school is a pre-engineering school. We basically take more physics classes and such. My question is, about 10 kids in my grade are applying to Engineering, and only 3 to CAS, myself included. Will the number of kids applying to Engineering affect my chances at CAS? Thanks a lot.

bump .

if everyone in your school has what it takes to get into Cornell and not only do they have what it takes, they also provide for a interesting and diverse community at Cornell, then all of you will get in, the number should not effect the decision, if you have what Cornell is looking for you will get in, so apply to the College you most wish to be in.

Also from previous posts, students have said that it is much easier to transfer credits from Engineering into CAS if you decide to switch than the other way around, if that influences your decision at all

good luck deciding

i dont think it will. its the same thing in my school, but cornell tends to accept most people that apply from my school. i think i am the only person ever to apply to cals, and maybe itll be to my advantage?

Adam! There are only 4 people applying to the Engineering school, and one of us is already in :-) You'll be judged seperately, and you are much more qualified than the other HT applicants anyhow

haha tetty i love u but sid and taha are more qualified. thanks for ur replies everyone.

Come on Adam! You did found the Business Club, you dedicate hours every week to helping autistic kids, and your grades are immaculate. You speak Spanish like a pro, you can do T-tests in your head, and you know more than your AP Chem teacher. What do you mean more qualified?
