<p>Nah. The truth is that engineering recruiting is based on: </p>
<ol>
<li> Proximity to the company</li>
<li> Number of graduates looking for industry jobs</li>
<li> Strength of the program</li>
</ol>
<p>I bet that in California, Berkeley actually gets more on campus recruiting than Stanford because it has more graduates and those graduates have fewer opportunities outside of engineering.</p>
