What makes it so difficult to double major in those two?
can anyone explain for me? =|

The science labs often conflict with the music ensembles/studio classes. This is the case at Rice, at least.

I have a friend who is in this dilema...he is very strong in math and music...which make perfect sense to me...I think he identified Harvey Mudd and CAse WR as friendly to both....also Peabody Conservatory (i think it is peabody) has a program in acoustical engineering...and they also require the engineers to choose an instrument to do a performance minor in...they figure that an acoustical engineer needs to understand instrumental music...i thinkk thats great. try using on of those online major to school matching tools (princeton review site?) and see if you get any overlaps....good luck.

Not enough hours. Both require long labs/practice times.

oh darn. will it be possible for me to MINOR in engineering

Northwestern has a 5-year music/engineering dual-degree program.

hey sam lee,
are you enrolled in that program?
i am really interested in that program at northwestern, but i am not sure since i don't want to kill myself with the workload.

No. I wasn't in that program. Was a chemE major and had a classmate doing that (chemE/music). I think the quarter system helps in terms of scheduling.
