engineering at Princeton

Does anyone know the stats for those accepted ED into engineering (ORFE especially) for females in particular?

94 of the 593 early admits were for engineering (<a href="http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/archives/2005/01/05/news/11741.shtml%5B/url%5D">http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/archives/2005/01/05/news/11741.shtml</a>) and I know I've heard somewhere that they eventually want 20% of the class to be engineering, if that helps at all.

Thanks! The thing is though...did only 100 apply? If that is the case then there is a 94% acceptance rate...if there were 500 applicants than the acceptance rate was not that high...so it all makes a difference I guess. It was still all interresting info! :)

I know they very much want females. They are starting an exchange program with Smith in order to have more females. <a href="http://www.princeton.edu/pr/news/05/q1/0105-smith.htm%5B/url%5D">http://www.princeton.edu/pr/news/05/q1/0105-smith.htm</a>
I don't know what that means in terms of their admissions policies re female students applying to Princeton. Worth asking in an info session.

Thanks! Are info sessions common and throughout the year? I will visit this next school year probably. Do any Princeton engineering students recommend ORFE? If so, why?

To find out about info sessions, go to the Admissions page and click on Visiting Princeton. Info sessions are also held around the U.S. If you sign up as a prospective applicant, they will send you a postcard when one comes to your area.
