Engineering at SU?

Hey everyone,

I am just finishing up my junior year and am coming to the point where I need to narrow down my college search. I plan to major in Computer Engineering (or ECE), and plan to apply early decision to Cornell. I had University of Washington-Seattle as my backup (good CompE program), but would some more options in the Northeast. I had looked at U. of Rochester and Syracuse, but then noticed that they were both ranked awfully low for Engineering in the US News rankings. Now, I've also heard the departmental rankings from US News are a bunch of bull, and that Rochester had a very good engineering program. What is everyone's opinion of Syracuse's engineering (and particularly computer engineering) program? Anyone here an engineering major?

Thanks in advance.
