Engineering at UCLA, UCD or UCSB

I got into UCLA, UC Davis and UCSB for engineering and am having trouble deciding which to attend. Awaiting decision on UCB where I applied for EECS. I received the Regent scholarship at UCD and UCSB which provides some perks such as priority registration and lowers the cost a bit.

I was first leaning towards UCLA for the reputation but am wondering how rigorous and competitive the program is there. Would I be able to graduate in 4 years?
Is engineering at UCD and UCSB equally as good?
At which UC would I have better chance at with finding a job after I graduate?

What are the engineering class sizes like at Davis and how easy is it to change majors?
I was admitted into biomedical engineering, but would prefer to do computer science and engineering.

you would have better chance of a higher GPA from UCD or UCSB as compared to UCLA. it depends on whether you want to get a job after undergrad, or go to grade school. btw may i know your stats? because i am a junior, and i am interested in biomedical engineering too

@viking65 Switching your major at Davis is very easy. There were a lot of kids in my group at orientation who already decided they were going to change their major, so they just went with the different major group. You won’t actually be able to change to your major the first quarter, but you can take the classes for it and then switch later. For the class sizes, all of the general courses everyone needs (Calc, Chem, Bio…) are big lectures (~200 people), but break down into smaller discussion sections/labs (~25 people). As far as I know, each major has an introductory course that freshmen take. I took mine in the fall and it was only 25 kids or so. The more classes you take, the smaller the classes become because they become focused on one thing. Good luck with your decision! They are all great schools!

@saintlightning, so would you recommend picking a less selective engineering major at davis during college apps, and then change it to a more selective one (biomedical eng) during my freshmen yr at davis?

yes, that could work.
