Engineering at WashU

Okay, thanks for all of the information people!

So, I e-mailed my admissions officer (from WUSTL) and she said that she would gladly change my "college of choice" for me. That is, I don't have to do anything else now, it's changed.

But, in general, I have a question. Do you guys think that there is much admissions difference between colleges? I know that someone said that if I was a girl, I should notify the counselor because it may increase my chances a bit, but is this really true? Do I have a greater chance now that I'm applying to the college of engineering rather than the college of arts & sciences?

I was looking WU's course book and it looks as if the college of engineering offers a double major program where students can major in both engineering and an arts and science major. Does anyone know more about this?

dpattz- you can if you want; I know a bunch of engineering students planning on double majoring in artsci, and even a handful double majoring in the business school. You just have to plan out carefully so that you can still graduate in four years, but it is possible.

All right, thanks.
