Engineering - B- Student

You might look at U Utah as well.

I ditto NJIT. It’s cheap, even to internationals :P

Also, I recommend NYU-Poly again. It’s great for jobs and networking and such, being in the New York City area.

If you can get into Purdue, it’s a great college too. As is Rose-Hulman Institute of Tech.

NJIT’ overall fees is $37,692 . which is according to me expensive for its academic standards .

Thanks for the suggestions all of you .

Based on your requirements. Missouri S&T seems a good fit. I went there and have several friends who have kids there now. Highly respected by companies and good mix of US and foreign students and also very friendly to women.

The core curriculum is demanding and there is much research on campus. It should stay on your list to consider.

It isn’t “in the middle of nowhere”. It is in a town of about 10,000 and is about 1.5 hrs from St. Louis. (2.5 million). If you want to be in a large city that that is an issue, but Missouri S&T is by no means “in the country”.

I dont think anyone is dying to go to college in Rolla…

I certainly don’t mean to offend anyone, but internationals are often not familiar with US geography, and I wanted to make it clear to the OP that Rolla is not a place to go if you want to do much beyond go to school. That’s fine for some internationals (and domestics), but many also want to experience what the US is like, and Rolla will give you only a narrow view of that.

My sister lived in Rolla, and I lived in suburban St. Louis, so I’m familiar with the place. Missouri U of S&T is a very good engineering school, but you have to understand the limitations when you choose to attend (especially if applying sight unseen), and Rolla is, for most people, the middle of nowhere. If the OP is willing to put in the time to travel, she can, but she should know the score ahead of time.

Also, there are only about 3% international students there, with around 78% being from Missouri and 83+% being white. Not the most diverse population out there.

Thanks and bump

your counselor needs to emphasize that India’s grading is different than grading the US, and that you’ve outperformed most of your classmates(if you really have)
