I am currently a freshman engineer at TAMU and was contemplating whether or not to go to the career fair. Is there a point since I’m a freshman or should I wait until the spring? Did anyone have success finding an internship freshman year?

Absolutely go! My daughter is currently a junior engineering student and as a freshman, she went to the career fair. In the fall, she found out how it all works and she got to speak with quite a few companies. However, in the spring of her freshman year, she had a Texas A&M GPA with some extracurricular activities, went back to some of those companies and she got an internship for that first summer. The engineering career fair at A&M is one of the largest, if not the largest, engineering career fair in the nation – what a great opportunity!
