Thanks in advance for any replies

Hi I’m applying to cornell engineering RD as well so my chance is based on previous CC forums. I’m assuming you’re going to either send your ACT or your (hopefully) improved SAT score-otherwise your SAT reasoning is very low.
I’d say you have a 50% (or more) chance of getting in. You’re EC’s are good, academics is decent, and your subject test scores are excellent. But then again this is just an educated guess. Btw your ethnicity and gender will also drastically affect your admission chances.

Well Cornell requires us to send all scores, which is definitely a let down.

I’m Asian (Indian)/White, 50/50, I may classify myself as white, would that maybe improve chances?

If you classified yourself as white? HELL NO! Whites and asians are both overly-represented in Universities BUT when they say Asian it is usually referred to Koreans and well some Japanese, Chinese etc. Put Indian if that’s an option they are not over reperesented I think they are about in the middle. Good stats! Hope you did better this time around on the SAT, I’m sure you have a good chance! Best of luck!

Oh, alright, thanks for the advice. I wasn’t sure if being Indian fell too much into the over represented category of Asians. Thanks!

Got my scores back… New scores are 700CR and 780M

congrats on your new scores. Your chances are much better now! Koodos on all your awards! I can barely find awards >< I think your chances are really good. Good luck!

Thank you very much! Good luck to you as well!
