Engineering Chances?

Hello, I am a white male from North Virginia(god help me) and I am looking to complete an engineering degree. I have applied to UVA, VT, and JMU with these stats:

  • 3.6 UW GPA, 4.02 W
  • Class Rank: 40/537
  • SAT's: 1270/1600(650 Math, 620 R+W)
  • AP's/DE's and Scores:
  • Sophomore Year: Human Geo(4), Honors everything else, Computer programming
  • Junior Year: US History(4), Honors everything else, PLTW Class
  • Senior Year: AP Physics 1, AP Statistics, DE English 12, DE US/VA Government, Honors Calculus, PLTW Class
  • EC's:
  • Robotics member 9th grade
  • Martial Arts member 9-11th grade
  • Worked at Panera Bread 11th grade
  • MUN member 10th grade
  • Varsity XC/Track 11-12th grade
  • Concert and Symphonic Band 9-12th grade(1st chair senior year)
  • Church YG member 9-12th grade
  • Honors:
  • Received PLTW Autodesk Inventor Certificate 11th grade
  • Awarded XC Coach's Award 12th grade
  • Has also done over 150 hours of community service for church mission trip *Also Church pastor is writing me a letter of recommendation along w/school counselor

So yay, maybe, or nay?

I’m guessing that you’ll be accepted to JMU and VT. UVA, on the other hand, seems unlikely.

Agree. You’ll probably get into JMU and VT. UVa is unlikely because of SAT scores
