Engineering Class Sizes for Freshman and Sophomores

Hi - I’m wondering how big the freshman/sophomore math and science classes (specifically for pre-mechanical engineering majors) are? How big are the largest lectures (size and department) at CSULB?

I know at UCSB my older son had a Calculus class which had 780 students enrolled. Do the CSULB classes get that large?

Thanks!

finished with my first year here. Your science classes will have around 150 kids and math (calculus ) will average around 30ish

Calculus courses will have about 30-40 students. Science courses such as physics and chemistry will be larger +125. This is because there are other majors in addition to engineering students that require these courses (i.e. science/ pre-med, kinesiology-exercise science, etc.)
