Engineering Classes

I was wondering what the typical classes are that an Engineering major would take at Tufts as a freshman.

To some degree, it depends on what area of engineering interests you and how much math, physics and chemistry you’ve had (and if AP in those areas, where you place into).
As an example, this is for mechanical engineering: [Mechanical Engineering - Tufts University](http://engineering.tufts.edu/me/academics/undergraduate/bsMechanical/degree.asp)
You can find similar information for other areas.
But all engineers need to get through three levels of calculus and DiffEQ (the math should be completed by sophomore year, but if you get a 5 on the BC AP Calc exam, you could do Calc 3 and DiffEQ as a frosh), some physics and chemistry, two types of programming classes (CAD and something else), an engineering elective and a humanities elective, and one semester of freshman writing.
