How hard is engineering at Princeton and how is grade deflation here? I know the rigor of its engineering dept. is not as comparable to schools like MIT or Caltech but what is the usual experience for undergraduate engineering students at Princeton?

Engineering is very demanding at Princeton - but that is true of any very good engineering school. What do you mean it is not as comparable as schools like MIT or Caltech? Princeton’s undergrad engineering has regularly been regarded and rated as similar to those schools. Grade deflation really did not impact STEM majors - it was primarily intended to bring grades of arts students in line with those of STEM students. However it has since been rescinded and is no longer part of Princeton’s formal practice.

Princeton, Columbia, Cornell’s engineering (the best of the ivies) are on par with MIT and Caltech, plus you also get all the liberal arts.
Engineering is on point over there, you know what I’m sayin?
