engineering dorms

I'm an incoming engineering major from out of state so I won't be able to visit campus until the summer. I've read that foothill is the dorm of choice for engineers and while it's great for studying, i'm afraid it might be too not social compared to the units.

is it a good idea for an engineering major to live in the units/how much better is it if i choose to room at foothill?

good for engineering. bad for socialness.

(assuming mutual exclusivity) ;)

Foothill (and Bowles and Stern) are closer to the math, physics, chemistry, and engineering areas of the main campus.
