Engineering graduation rate?

I was looking at this, and I saw something really interesting.

<a href="http://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/2013-03-05%20UCEE%20OASA%20site.pdf%5B/url%5D">http://www.seasoasa.ucla.edu/2013-03-05%20UCEE%20OASA%20site.pdf</a></p>

About 1800 undergrads get enrolled every year, but only 700 or so degrees are awarded. I'm not really sure how to look at this data. Is there any kind of graduation quota, or does this simply reflect the dropout rate of engineering students?

It’s 600 something new freshman admits that accept enrollment (obviously way more accepted). Were you getting 1800 from a graduate statistic?

Yup, I mean 3000. I read wrong.

600-700 in incoming class times 4 (fresh-soph-jr-sr) = 2800ish, add in transfers junior year to get to about 3000 something total undergrad.
