<p>My brother is applying to colleges and one of them is Hofstra. </p>
<p>Hofstra by the looks of it, only has Engineering science as a major but with an option in Biomedical or Civil (He's undecided which one he wants to do). </p>
<p>Is Hofstra a good engineering school? What is engineering science exactly? </p>
<p>I mean his grades are really good. So he's applying to other schools like Stony brook, NYU, NYU-Poly, CUNY Honors, Cooper Union. He doesn't think he'll get into Columbia (because of his SAT scores and he barely has any ECs. Should he apply anyway?)</p>
