engineering in different schools

Hey,

im currently studying aerospace engineering in UIUC and want to transfer.
can someone help me with this question?:is there a difference between Dartmouth college and
UIUC for undergraduate engineering ? cos for me , Dartmouth is not a traditionally strong engineering school but it does have engineering major. but i think for undergrats, it isnt very important since real engineering usually starts at gradute level. pls educate me.:)

Honestly, UIUC engineering is so far ahead of Dartmouth that making that transfer would be silly. The only exception would be if you are really shooting for the business world and not engineering after graduation.

What is it that you don’t like about UIUC?

Serious question: Why does Dartmouth even offer engineering?? I’ve never understood that.

Yes, there is a difference. Dartmouth does not have aerospace engineering. It has a general engineering science degree program that you can tailor to your preferences, but the courses offered do not appear to cater to those interested in aerospace engineering. The closest thing would be a concentration in mechanical engineering, but that is somewhat limited in course selection.

Based on that, why would you want to transfer from UIUC to Dartmouth?
