It depends if your in state or not. Purdue doesn’t have relatively high admission standards, but the course wear is pretty rigorous. My CC classes are littered with Purdue dropouts.

But with your SAT’s and grades, Id say its a reach.

Thank you for your comment. I strongly wish to enter Purdue. If I have SAT subject score of math and Chem, could it matter to admission?
I am going to take a subject test on Nov. Currently I just have a math2 of 630. I am not so sure to pursue EA with current score, or it would be better to apply regular with possible higher score?

SAT2 not required by Purdue. You better spend your time and energy to improve your SAT1 scores and GPA. For merit aid, one needs to apply EA. However, it does not really matter for you. Try to bring up your SAT 200+ points. Nevertheless, Purdue Engineering has a high drop out rate even if you get in. To be honest, it is a reach school for you because of your low GPA and score.

Billcsho, thank you for your advice. So I think it is better to apply for regular decision with possible higher SAT1 to be sure instead applying Purdue with current SAT1 score for EA.

If Purdue doesn’t work out, you can always enroll at a satellite campus and hope to transfer after a year or two. Check out IUPUI. I’m looking to transfer there from my CC, and its much less competitive than West Lafayette.
