My GPA is about to drop below 3.0.

I am a sophomore. I have a 3.1 right now, but anticipate receiving 2 Cs this quarter.

How should I go about applying to internships after this happens? I know I need to take my GPA off my resume, but I'm sure employers will ask about it in interviews/elsewhere. What could I say when they do? How could I frame the situation, while still being honest?

Put your major GPA on it if its above.

Why not just drop the course and take something online over the summer?

Don’t take your GPA off your resume. Although it might cost you a few interviews, it’s a lot better to show honesty than to leave it out. In my opinion, if you can build the connections with recruiters to get the interview, then your GPA no longer matters. Of course, you’ll have to ace most of the technical questions they give you (or have the right thought process) but these skills are essential for most technical internships anyways.
