On avg, how many hours do engineering internships demand (summer)? Is it possible to have an internship, and say be enrolled in an LSAT class?

no one…?

It varies depending on who it’s with and what you’d be doing.

But my roommate, who scored an engineering internship with a big company this summer, works a typical 9-5 job, 5 days a week.
I’m guessing that’s the norm.

It depends on the company. Most, if not all, engineering internships are full time (40 or more hours per week).

This usually means 8 hours per day Monday through Friday, or [4 10’s] if the company allows this. [4 10’s] is when an employee works 10 hours per day from Monday through Thursday, and can take Friday off (3 day weekend).

As for the hours, the work time varies. My internship is from 7-330. Some are 9-530. Most places don’t pay you for lunch hours.

So expect 40 hours per week for an engineering internship. Anything less than that shouldn’t be called an internship, and should be labeled as “part time job” or “research”.

I’ll let you make the judgment based on this information whether or not you can take the LSAT class or not.

IA w/ BH

Raytheon has a 9hr work day.

BH, where you interning?

i have 9-6 hours.

interns at microsoft research asia (MSRA) have 10-8 hours (sometimes 10-11) because their adviser is like that. that’s pretty hardcore.
