engineering internships

Hi, I am a sophomore mechanical engineering major at Cornell. Last summer I was a summer intern at a utility company. It was considered an engineering internship that lasted 12 weeks;however, it was not very hard work. I basically went to all the substations (about 100) and used the infrared camera to detect hotspots, and then had to report them. At the end we had to give a presentation. They have offered me the internship for next summer. I was just wondering how that looks on my resume? I know I will be in a different department next summer doing different things. Although, I am not sure if it is considered a "quality" internship and it is not like it is a super prestigious company or anything. Are employers impressed by that?

Well what are your other options?
