Engineering Interships/Job Prospects

Prospects are pretty good at Cornell if you do well. I am a Cornell Engineer (CS/OR Double major) and I just landed myself a summer job at a big bank. All the big companies come to recruit here… If you get good grades and take advantage of the ample opportunities present here, you will have good employment prospects.

If you want some data/stats on employment, check out the Engineering Website:

In all honesty, don’t sweat it. I’ve enjoyed my time here at Cornell but what I got from going here is nothing that I couldn’t have gotten from an honors program at a good state school. If you get financial aid or can afford Cornell comfortably, by all means come to Cornell, but it is sincerely not worth going into $200,000 worth of debt to come here. Just make the best of what you have wherever you go and you will be fine.
