<p>So i was accepted at A&M as top 10% admit.When I applied, I applied for civil wngineering.I now want to change to Petroleum Engineering but their is no more space.Am i going to have trouble switching? Will it be possible? wHAT IS THE EARLIEST I CAN DO IT?</p>
<p>If you can, try to change it at your new student conference or shoot them an email now if that would soothe ya. If you can’t get in and really want pet engineering, then apply for general studies or talk with an adviser about transferring majors</p>

<p>I’m in the same situation as you and from what I hear, you have to transfer either at the end of the first semester or the end of the second semester. They don’t have many spots so you have to do really good to get the transfer approved. I met with the department and they said only like 50% of people wanting to transfer in to PE got the transfer.
