Engineering major/jobs requiring no interpersonal skills???

Bonehead, I like you. Also: I-L-L!

I-N-I!

I suppose an Oskee-wow-wow! ought to be thrown out there for good measure.

When my S attended ORIENTATION for engineering, they stressed how important teamwork is and URGED all students to have study groups. I was pleasantly surprised that S did in fact form & host study groups throughout his college career and graduated in EE. I’d say you have a LOT more options available to you if you can work well with a team, even if you do your work independently. FWIW, my S has always been a very independent learner and given his druthers, he’s happy doing things on his own. Having forced himself to work well in a group has given him a LOT more options than if he kept to his preferences of working alone.

Just saying, there is still time to learn to work well in groups, so that you will have more career options. S got his degree in EE & did group work at his internships as well as his job during the school year.

@bonehead: That list looks arbitrary, if not random. For shame.

Well look a little closer then. In fact, it is neither. It is the exact order that the majors should be in… alphabetically.

What a useless thread.
