I plan on majoring in Mechanical Engineering next year, and was wondering if i needed to have a minor? If so what kind of minor would be good? (Business? cuz Im not too keen on doing anything outside of m&s in college unless I have too). If i did do a Business minor, would it enhance my job prospects any more than if I didnt? Also i want to work in some sort of gas & oil industry, so would that be possible with MechE or would it be best for me to switch to ChemE?

Some colleges have a program with engineering where you do additional hrs in Business and it supposedly enhances your chances of employment. UT does something like that. Daughter majored in your interest (ME) and minored in math, because with all the math you are required to take, she only needed 2 extra math classes beyond what was required anyway.
