Engineering majors and AP calculus credit

A friend of mine told me that engineering majors have to take certain calculus classes that aren't exempted by AP credit. Is this true? Because I'm gonna be ****ed if it is.

What they mean is that BC Cal will only cover M408C or M408K,L. You will still need to take at least one more semester of calc to finish the requirements.

Does UT engineering calculus cover vectors?

Of course they do

Here’s some pretty good info-
This website shows what UT accepts for AP credit. It does not vary by college.

…and here’s a list of all the engineering majors.

If you click on your major you should be able to find a course layout or flow chart listing the classes you need to take. I’d print them off and cross off the ones you have AP credit for. As far as engineering is concerned, it’s common to claim credit for all electives you have good enough scores for. Other colleges tend to ask that their students re-take their introductory courses but in engineering the only thing most people worry about is submitting too much credit because graduating with some amount of credit hours over the required amount causes you to lose a pretty $1500 rebate at graduation. But as always, talk to your adviser for that stuff.
