<p>I got it too. Are we eligible to earn up to $3000 in addition to the Trustee Scholarship? If so, that sounds pretty cool. Plus the opportunity to start research as freshmen is excellent. The way it's worded makes it seem like a quasi work-study program. (ie, we get paid based on the number of hours we put in, rather than a lump sum)</p>

<p>I just got my "acceptance" of this research award today...along with an extra scholarship from Viterbi (I already have a Pres...)....</p>
<p>I just cant decide if the opportunities that all this money open up make it worth it to go to USC (im also considering Hopkins...)</p>

<p>It was called like an "Engineering Merit Scholarship"....just like $2500 (on top of the Presidential...)...I have no idea who is eligible or why I got it...Probably because I havent confirmed that I am going there yet...</p>
