<p>Hi a general consensus around here is that A&M is higher ranked in most, if not all engineering programs. I generally accepted this since I had no clue either way(McCombs next year woot woot) but today I saw something that made me think otherwise.</p>
<p>So assuming they are referring to US News rankings, does anyone happen to have a recent copy handy that can either confirm or deny my findings?</p>
<p>go search in the engineering forums, UT engineering is ranked higher overall.</p>

<p>If you place any credence in these rankings, UT is ranked higher pretty much across the board. Even in the petroleum engineering area, I have seen another ranking that has Texas and Stanford tied for first with A&M a distant third.</p>
<p>My son was accepted into the Engineering Honors Program at UT in January. The COE and the university have offered scholarships amounting to roughly a half ride. A&M (Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Nebraska, et. al) would have given him a full scholarship. If he decides to stay in state, he'll attend Texas. </p>

<p>Actually, no it doesn't (8-13). But idk why that would make an engineering school stronger than another...</p>
<p>yeah, certain specialized engineering degrees don't indicate more strength.</p>
