Engineering Physics -> EECS

I got in as an Engineering Physics major, but now that I think I have solidified what I want to do, I want to switch into EECS.
Since the requirements are a little bit different and Engineering Physics requires 2 chemistry courses that are recommended to be done Freshman year, should I do these or just take the physics courses required for EECS instead (they are also required for Engineering Physics but in sophomore year)?
