What engineering programs does UCF have that you would recommend? I saw the excel and Learn. what would you recommend?

EXCEL unless your math skills are superb. Calculus isn’t easy, and CalcII is the 2nd most failed class at UCF, so should take any opportunities you can. However, you will have to take extra classes to finish the EXCEL curriculum.

I can go into more detail if you would like.

I took calculus ab got a 5, taking calculus bc which my school has a 99% 5 rate.
Im taking physics C which includes mechanics and electricity and magnetism. My teacher has a 100 % passing rate. Im also taking Ap computer science which my teacher has 87% passing rate.
I took physics B last year and got a 4

please go into more details. Im really intrested in this programm

You have to start in Calc 1 or Pre-calc if you participate in EXCEL. There is usually more work, as hours are required in the EXCEL lab which is not the case for normal Calc 1 classes (it is the case for any class below it). You have to take an extra class that applies Calculus to the workplace and you have guest speakers. You are also guaranteed a research position (paid) your sophomore spring semester. EXCEL offers tutoring (free) for math and science as well.

Honestly, I don’t feel it is worth it if you are already stellar in Math and Science…especially if you wouldn’t take Calc 1 again your first semester. However, college classes are harder than high school, even AP. (A passing in most AP classes is 50% on the exam (for a 3, on the easier exams. Calculus and Physics tend to give 4s or 5s in that range). A 50% in most classes is an F or a D if the teacher adjusts the scale.)

thanks for the help. Would you recoommend lead or learn programs. Well do you recommend any program ?

I don’t know what learn is. LEAD is nice for meeting new people, but I don’t know much about the actual program (my friend is in LEAD and she made a bunch of friends because of it).

Honors may be to your liking if you want to or can still that (if you haven’t already).
