Is the admissions process for engineering undeclared just as competitive as that of EECS? Would there be an advantage to apply to one instead of the other?

I'm pretty sure its just as competitive, if not more (at least everyone has told me so). Engineering Undeclared pretty much lets you transfer into any engineering major if you have over a 2.0. If you want to do engineering, but aren't completely sure about what program in particular, I'd say apply Engineering Undeclared. It took about 5 minutes worth of going into an office and saying "I want to do EECS" to transfer into EECS from Engineering Undeclared. But if you know you're going to do EECS, just apply EECS.

as btbam said, engineering undeclared is the most selective of the engineering majors, simply because you will have the option to choose any, including eecs, provided that the few requirements are fulfilled, etc.
