<p>I know for Bio majors there's some class or seminar or something you have to take before you can do research, I think it's called Bio 194S. Is there anything similar for engineering majors that has to be taken before you can do research?</p>

<li><p>biology has a lot of stuff largely because they have so many students (and many who aren’t very intelligent…). its just easier for them.</p></li>
<li><p>different research groups will expect different things out of you. you may need to have taken certain classes or be familiar with certain programs/machines.</p></li>
