Engineering Safety Schools? (east coast only)

Virginia Commonwealth Univ. and Old Dominion Univ. would be good options.

Lehigh not even mentioned? It isn’t a safety, but it’s a great engineering school!

Lehigh was mentioned. The son did not like it.

URI, Western New England Univ, Roger Williams, UCONN (may not be safety).

University of Maine - Orono. Strong in engineering, many science disciplines, and some fields of management. Less robust in many of the liberal arts fields. Financial and academic safety for him.

Is Boston University a possibility? Or how about University of Pittsburgh? Are these too urban since he didn’t like Drexel? There’s also George Washington.

If he thinks TCNJ is a safety…then I am not sure what he will think about Rowan.

…CR … Math

…25% 75% 25% 75%

College of New Jersey…550 650 580 680
Rowan University…480 590 510 630

with a 3.1 high school GPA, Rutgers and TCNJ are not safety schools… hopefully his ACT will help him
