Engineering Scholarship in the mail today!

Engineering scholarship came in the mail today for my daughter: $4000/year for four years. She has an Honors College full tuition scholarship also. I am deeply grateful to the University of Pittsburgh for making it possible for my daughter to attend. When the time comes, I will definitely donate to the school with enthusiasm!

Congrats on both!

Congratulations!!

Amandakayak: I’ve been following you and your son on the 2011/2015 thread. I really hope that the finances work out for him to attend a college of his choice. It’s all so tough nowadays - not only anxiously waiting for acceptance, but also for merit/need aid.

Congrats Southmom–rest assured, they will ask you to donate, but like you, we are happy to send the $$$.

Congrats! I am sure she will LOVE Pitt :)

Engineering scholarship is only for girls or for boys too?

The engineering scholarships are for any male or female that meets the academic requirements - they are based on academic ability, not gender.

But my son didn’t get any engineering scholarship even he is a strong applicant and already got full tution with sat 2310 or 1540/1600 and 4.55 wgpa and 4/409 class rank with so many awards and activities

Care123: Your son’s stats are excellent! If I were you, I would have your son call the School of Engineering and respectfully ask to be reviewed/considered for a departmental scholarship. Good luck!
