Engineering School? Which SAT II's?

Hi,

I'm a junior right now and I'm thinking about applying to Engineering School (perhaps specifically biomedical)? I am planning on taking two science subject tests (three would just be too much for me) in October. Are there any that are preferred (Bio, Chem, vs. Physics)?

Thanks.

Math II and
Your strongest of the 3-Bio, Chem or Physics

Math II and a science is typically the best option.

Math + a science is probably going to be seen as better than 2 sciences; any reason why you didn’t mention taking math?

I agree with the other posters, definitely Math II and a science (probably Bio or Chem if you’re going into bio-medical, but just take the one you’re best at).

Olin College of Engineering specifies Math I or II and a science of your choice.

Harvey Mudd College specifies Math II and a second Subject of your choice.

MIT specifies choice of one from Math I OR Math II, plus an additional test chosen from Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

Agree with the above posters, make sure to choose the science you’re best at, of course. Bonus points if it fits into the discipline of engineering you’re looking into.

MIT requires either Math I or Math II, plus a science test. I believe Caltech requires specifically Math II and a science.

UCLA, math and one science. It’s always a good idea to take Math II because it should cover the math requirement.
