High school senior (female) applying to engineering schools, specifically bio engineering in the Northeast. 3.62 gpa and a 1750 (540CR/620M/590W) SAT score. Resident of Massachusetts and looking for creditable engineering schools that are within my gpa/test score range. What are my chances of getting into schools I already applied to and what are some others?
Schools I've applied to:
UVM, UNH, UMass Amherst, and Penn State.
Schools Im thinking about:
UConn, Syracuse
Reach: Lehigh, Boston University

Worried about expenses and looking for schools that would be generous with merit or financial aid. Any advice will help!!

Have you run the net price calculators at each school? have you talked to your parents about an amount they will commit to for each year? do yo intend to go to med school?

I don’t want you to take this the wrong way, but your scores are a bit low for some of those. The ones that you applied to are o’k but I’m not sure you’re high enough for much merit aid. Going into engineering is fantastic. Maybe add in more state schools like Umass Lowell.

I don’t think any of those OOS publics will be generous to you.

Please run the net price calculators and see the results. Your stats aren’t high enough for merit at those schools.

How much can your family pay? If you are low income, then you need to apply to the publics in your state. Please have your parents run the NPCs with you so you can see the results.
