Engineering schools - east

D is a junior looking at engineering, perhaps chemical. So far, she's looking at
RPI
Olin
WPI
MIT
Dartmouth
NYU-Poly

Any thoughts? Suggestions for others?

Cooper Union
Bucknell

Depending on how you define East or if you are mostly interested in NE:
Michigan
Georgia Tech
Carnegie Mellon
Cornell

RIT which should be between MIT’s and RPI’s selectivity levels.

Another one to consider for Chemical Engineering would be U. of Delaware.

I quess “east” would mean NE and east of the mighty mississippi

RPI is more selective than RIT.

UMass-Amherst & UofRochester. Olin doesn’t have ChemE

RIT gives good merit aid, if that’s a consideration. You will work your tail off there…make not mistake about it. I know students there that love it. Absolutely love it. However they are working hard 24/7.
