Engineering Schools?

I’ve been looking around for the best engineering schools. I’m not sure what type of engineering I want to go into, but I know that I want to apply into the school of engineering. Here’s my transcript/other information.
I’m also looking at engineering schools, more focused on aero and maybe agricultural/biological. I’m mainly into going to a top school (looking at u of ill, purdue, v tech, and texas a&m). I live in ohio so out of state tuition is kinda a big deal, we can’t really manage anything over 40k a year.

Core Information
Weighted GPA (on 5.0 scale) 4.45
Non-weighted GPA(on 4.0): 3.9
Weighted Rank: 28/332- my high school is also competitive, like top 10 in state
ACT score: Havn’t taken ACT yet, but I plan on only taking the ACT (opinions) unless I’m thinking about private schools. I’m taking it in april and june.

AP/Honors Classes:
AP Statistics (current)
AP Art History (current)
AP Physics B (senior)
AP Spanish Lang (senior)
AP Calc AB/BC (senior)

AP English Lang (senior)

I’ve taken pretty much all honors core courses in spanish, sciences, maths, histories, and english. My gpa is low though because of tech drawing (which is non honors and a ton of work)
*Important: I got my first b’s this past semester (actually in a string of 4) 1 regular B and 3 B+'s so I don’t know how that effects my chances at some colleges (certainly brought down my gpa a ton). Thankfully the b’s were in honors classes at least

Other Accelerated Courses of Interest:
Tech drawing 1-3-- We design all kinds of things and use programs on the comp to do so. Im “fluent” in autocad, revit, and inventor. We’ve won various contests, and do architecture, engineering, and design.

Extra-Curriculars
Varsity XC freshman & soph
Varsity track freshman-senior
Hospital volunteer (4hrs per saturday)
Random volunteer hours all around
Anticipated NHS
Possible internship at nasa this summer for 8 weeks, hopefully i make it
SADD, techmates club- both no leadership posit.

Should I apply to any private colleges? This track season seems like it will be good, so the possibility of a recruitment is always there. I’m no state champion, but fairly good.

Money seems to be the biggest issue here. Were well off, but all my families money goes into properties and businesses, so when you add property values and such, it looks as though I can go to any school I want. The truth is though that it’s not all there, so again a school under 40k is really what I’m looking for.
