<p>If you live in an area that is economically depressed (Calif, Mich, maybe even Virginia), you will have trouble getting an engineering job. Some are not willing to relocate. My friend’s son graduated in engineering from Columbia last May. He lives in Southern Cal. My H offered him a job in Huntsville at $60k plus relocation costs. He doesn’t want to relocate away from his GF. So, it’s his choice to remain unemployed.</p>
