Engineering Technology major

Hello, i recently got accepted into Texas State's and was planning to major in engineering technology. Would you major in this? I heard graduates with a degree in engineering technology are called technologists, not engineers. Thoughts on an engineering technology major? If you could explain more to me that would be great.

[Engineering technologist - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Engineering technologist - Wikipedia)

Yeah I saw that before I posted this, but I want some information from people who are enrolled in this major or recently got a job with an engineering technology major

Most if not all Engineering Technolology graduates are called “Engineers” not "Technologists, including myself and hundreds of graduates prior and after my graduation. The world “Technologist” is not used in the industry and ABET’s description is not accurate at all. Just look on LinkedIn and you will see the real world titles and job responsibilities.
