<p>Can anyone tell me about the engineering technology program? Are students in that program part of the college of engineering? Do they go through the same 5 year program that engineering students do?</p>
<p>A few years ago, the Engineering Technology program was a school within the College of Engineering but it is now part of the Lowell Institute School which is within the College of Professional Studies. CPS is designed primarily for working adults, returning, nontraditional, or part-time students; classes are typically in the evenings, weekends or online, and many classes are offered at NEU’s other campuses as well as the main campus. CPS is separate from the regular undergrad program, with its own admission process. They offer both associate and B.S. degrees in Engineering Technology, and it looks like some co-ops/internships are available for students. Here is a link to the Engineering Technology page:</p>
