Engineering to economics

Hey I would really appreciate if any of you advice me here. I am pursuing my bachelors and masters in Engineering in Material Science and Technology(Its a dual degree course in IT-BHU, India). So by the time I pass out, I will be having a bachelors and masters in material science and engineering. However I don't have any interest in the same. But since I am already two years into the course I have decided to complete it. My interest lies in economics and management. So I plan to pursue masters in economics after engineering. My gpa as of now is 6.6(of 10), but I can work upon it as I have a majority of semesters still to go. Stellar MBA colls. in UK or US in not an option cause they require quality work exp, which I doubt I will get(because of my gpa and I really don't have an interest in it). Can you tell me how should I work towards my goal of masters in economics from UK(US doesn't offer any masters in eco for non-economic grads). Schools of the likes of LSE, Nottingham, Oxford etc. straight after the completion of my engineering?

plz people i need help on this one.
