For the engineering majors that have received admission decisions, could you post your discipline, what school you applied to, your stats and obviously whether you have been accepted or not.

Aerospace
GPA 3.85
Will complete all pre reqs except the last section of physics by spring

applied to
ucla - pending
uci - accepted(tag)
ucsd - pending
uc davis - pending
Caltech - pending

^Caltech thats awsome,I havent really heard of anyone apply there yet.
Mechanical Engineering
GPA: 3.58 with an upward swing, 4.0 last 3 semesters
Major GPA 3.85
All pre reqs will be done except for matlab

applied to
sdsu-denied
cal ploy slo-denied
ucsb-pending
uci-pending
ucsd-pending
ucb-pending

Its not looking too good for me…

woahh. even with a 3.58 you were denied to those two colleges. Do you think it was because the matlab

No Im pretty sure I got rejected from sdsu along with every other ME major at SBCC because sdsu wants an animal Bio class, so random. I think I was denied from Cal poly just because my gpa wasnt high enough since ME is so competitive there. I believe UCSB is the only school that requires matlab and they just added it to assist like last year.

hi,

I need an article about the physics in Industrial engineering, please.
It may help if my English is not very good.

Major: Aerospace Engineering

GPA: 3.49 during application, 3.56 during TAU

Accepted
Georgia Tech
Cal Poly Pomona

Waitlisted
Cal Poly SLO

Pending
UCD ( Tag approved)
UCLA(I doubt it)
UCSD(may be)

no IGETC, all prereqs finished by end of spring.
no ECAs, 2 A+ if that helps

Thank you my friend
But my English is not good for much more specialized
Do you know something please tell me so.

Anymore Engineers get accepted?

EE

UCLA:Hopeful Pending
UCB:So Hopeful…(Wouldn’t know what to do with myself)
UCSD: Accepted through TAG
USC:Hopefull Pendingg

Yes IGETC

Major: EE (although thinking of switching to CE/CS)

GPA: 3.28
IGETC: Yes

UCSD: Accepted (ULink)
UCI: Accepted (TAG)

Lol, kinda wish I applied to more schools just to see where else I would get accepted without any guaranteed programs.

Can you guys please chance me??

The person with the 3.85 GPA getting rejected to cal states kinda really scared me!

here are my stats:
Major: Computer Science
GPA (Transferable): 3.5
IGETC: Completed
PreReqs: Completed everything on Assist that’s offered at my CC
Extra Curricular: President of Phi Theta Kappa at my CC, Student government

also question: do they care more about major GPA or transferable GPA?
also does my cumulative GPA matter? I have low grades on classes that are not transferable so my cumulative GPA is 3.1…

I really want to go to UCI… what are my chances WITHOUT tag?? I am applying next year. What about other schools?

Thank you!

So to update my previous post…

Major: Chemical Engineering
GPA: 3.72
IGETC: Not completed
Prereqs: All completed that were offered.
Extra Curricular: Engineering club, physics lecturer, etc

UCD: Accepted
UCI: Accepted
UCLA: Denied
UCB: Accepted
UCSD: Accepted
Cal Poly: Accepted

ok, for engineer majors, are we supposed to go out and search for pre-reqs that are not even offered at our school and try to satisfy every pre-req?
